About the artist:
Lars raised in New York City, developed a deep passion for the natural world through frequent visits to museums and zoos. He studied at the School of Visual Arts and began a freelance illustration career before transitioning to the zoo industry, where he designed exhibits and later became Art Director, focusing on interpretive graphics, photography, and mold-making. After 12 years, he left the zoo field in 2006 to work full-time as a freelance illustrator. Now living near Providence, Rhode Island, he teaches at the Rhode Island School of Design and enjoys nature, wildlife, and creative pursuits with his wife.

This is probably the most spectacular painting we have in our gallery.
