Description

Tristan Grey has mutated into a terrifying new version of Man-Bat, and it's up to Batman and Maps to save him! But, when it turns out that Tristan is not the only person who has been infected by the Man-Bat serum, it will be Batman and Maps versus an army of leather-winged monsters! This cover has a couple very cool things going for it. First off this piece is done on a much more high shine Japense paper as Simone completed this cover while he was spending time in Tokyo. It is one of only a few published covers on this type of paper. Most importantly this piece tells a story. You see Batman but shrouded in shadows, he arrives at the crime scene and chooses to go beyond the yellow tape and do what the police cannot. The story telling, the use of heavy inks and the amazaing bat in the bottom left all sold me on this stunning 11x17 cover by Di Meo.
