Poor Mihail. At least he made it out when he moved to Boston. Why didn't the monk revive the master himself by luring young men to the crypt? You know this freak does it in his spare time.
There was not really a dormant vampire here to revive. Draka was already up and about, monitoring the monastery on horseback. Dracula's remains are not actually here either, as Draka comments to the monk.
Draka was toying with the three grave robbers, frightening them with a hallucination of Vlad, after Mihail assaulted his servant the monk. As a Master of the Night, Draka has powers of illusion and mind control that make him much more dangerous than the vampire thralls he creates.
Love that last panelo n the first page where he shows his fangs!
I have to second the comment about the fangs in panel 6 on page 15, what a great shot. Andreucci's inking works so nicely for the vibe of this story.
