Dampyr Speciale #1 (2008) Pages 15-16: Impaled

As Mihail flees up a ladder away from Draka, his now-undead friend Petru blocks his path, and (fittingly) he is impaled by a stake as he falls:

“You don't want to abandon me, do you Mihail?”

“Petru?? Ahhhh! Unnh!”

“Do you see, Mihail? Sometimes, dreams are prophetic. I want you to tell me who hired you to steal Vlad's corpse. And don't object that you are about to die, because we have all the time we need.”

Draka then tends the monk whom Mihail had whacked in the head with a crowbar:

“You will recover soon, old friend.”

“Master! You...”

“As you know, I protect this land, and this monastery too. Those three young men wanted to desecrate it.”

“Those three are only boys. You will not have them?”

“One of them tried to kill you. And as you know, I am not inclined to forgive. However, I indulged them, giving them my version of old Vlad. They did not even know that his human remains, previously buried in this monastery, were taken seventy years ago to the museum in Bucharest. And since then, they have disappeared. A shameful ignorance. Perhaps it is not surprising, considering that their clients are foreigners.”

“But... who? Who could have thought up such a thing?”

“Dangerous crackpots. But I will take care of them. Remember: You will not tell anyone that you saw me.”

“Yes, my lord.”
