From her treetop vantage point, Mirela overhears a meeting in the forest below:

“Radu!”

“Mister Vance! Finally I found you. Thank heavens.”

“Don't bother heaven, Radu.”

“I... I don't understand why you made me come here, or why you ordered me to keep it quiet. Monsieur LaPierre gave you up for dead and left.”

“He'll come back... He'll come back when you persuade him to come back.”

“But... your disappearance has thrown the government and all the park's sponsors into a panic. It's ruined now.”

“No, Radu. It's a new beginning. A bright future is being prepared for our creation. You'll understand when you know why I made you come up here… Meet our new sponsor!”

“Kneel, Radu, before your prince.”

“Dracula!”

“From above I saw that little man fall to his knees, but there was no one in front of him. Apart from a strange fog, I tried to focus on the figures, until I got a headache, and finally, in a somewhat blurry and hazy way, I also glimpsed what he saw.”

Once again Dracula's presence is an illusion cast by Draka to manipulate the superstitious. You may recall that Radu was Vance's Romanian contact for the theme park project.

Sing us a song tonight
Well, we're all in the woods and to fall on knees

It's a pretty good crowd for a comic page
And then Dracula gives me a smile
‘Cause they know that it's me they've need Andreucci
To forget about life Speciale

And the Stefano, it sounds like a carnival
And the comic book sells like Dampyr
And they sit Mirela and put death on Draka
And say, "Vance, why is Radu in here?"
