DescriptionWildstar was one of the Image Comics new titles at the beginning, when other creators beyond the 7 came over to do a creator owned title. There was Wildstar by Ordway and Gordon, Shaman's Tears by Mike Grell, Hellshock by Jae Lee, Trencher by Keith Giffen, etc. I actually liked Wildstar but read EVERYTHING that came out back then so I have always wanted something from it but as far as I know, there is no artwork out there for it. So this trading card art is especially nice. I still have the foild Wizard card for this image as well as I loved the Wizard Magazine cards.The second card labeled as a chase card was a special serial numbered gold label card for retailers as a gift from Wizard. So both of these cards were published by Wizard. Social/Sharing |

You know, I bought it and read it at the time but dismissed it because Ordway's art was too classic for me compared to the Image founders. My appreciation for Ordways' work has grown so much since then to the point of prefering it to many of the I-founders and he produced GREAT work for that series (even if I find he went overboard with the violence to be in tune with the company spirit and zeitgeist). That's a special piece here.
