Dampyr Speciale #1 (2008) pages 142-143: Caught between fangs

In the dungeon, Brand is menaced by both werewolves and vampires:

“Growwwllll…”

“Nooo! Heeeeeelllllp!”

“What are you doing wandering around the castle alone, Mr. Brand? That can be very dangerous.”

“You! Vlad Dracula… or whoever you are… I've had enough of these stupid games! Tell your buddies back there to knock it off. They're scaring me to death!”

“My 'buddies'? Oh, I understand.”

“There they are! But why in heaven's name are they doing this? God forgive me, they look real! Real werewolves! Why?”

“Because that's what they really are, Herr Brand!” (Dracula bares his fangs.)

“Noo!”

They are werewolves, but not real; they are psychic projections of a vampire lord, just as Vlad Dracula himself is.
