Description

Like many, I loved the Season of Mists story arc the best. This page is a great example why. Here we get to meet all of the Endless gathered together for a family reunion (well except for one brother).

From this one page we learn so much! We learn that Delirium was once Delight. There is a longing reference to, Destruction, the beloved brother who will not be joining. We learn just what a trouble maker Desire can be in the lives of others. And most importantly, we learn the reason Dream must go on a quest to right a wrong against a human woman he once loved (which perhaps right now is a more meaningful and complex theme than we ever imagined back when we last read this story).

The Endless: What a fascinating family! What characters! What a mythology!

This page serves as a fantastic opener to the storyline. It sets the whole story in motion, and as a book end it is a perfect compliment to my Season of Mists epilogue page.
