Robotech was the English adaptation of the Japanese anime series Macross, this issue being based off of The Macross Saga episode, "Countdown." Art is by Neil Vokes w/inks by Rich Rankin, frequent collaborators on Comico's Robotech comics. Cover features action-packed scene, showing Roy Fokker's VF-1S Valkyrie engaged in a firefight, destroying on of the Imperial Zentraedi Forces' Battlepods. The Super Dimensional Fortress-1 (SDF-1) can be seen in the sky above as various Veritech fighters fly about. Both Vokes and Rankin have signed at lower right corner (front cover) and initialed at lower left (back cover). Back has detailed pencil preliminary art, showing alternate scene w/two Veritech fighters, one in Battroid Mode, the other in Gerwalk Mode. A Battlepod is in bkg. Some scattered blue pencil editorial notations, but art o/w remains clean and Exc. Comes w/cover proof for the issue this art was created for (vertical old at center).
