Description
6.45 x 20" ALTHOUGH signed by Dan Flagg (strip started in 1963, ended mid-67) creator Don Sherwood, from 1965 until the nearly the end of 1966, the art & story team of Al Williamson and Archie Goodwin were ACTUALLY ghosting the strip entirely, with help from Alden McWilliams on inks - Shades of Bob Kane! (See the Williamson/Goodwin "Success Story!" in Creepy #1 for a humorous take on this situation where a signed creator did nothing on his own strip).......................... Near the end of 1966, Al Williamson and Archie Goodwin jumped ship to take over the Secret Agent X-9 strip from Bob Lubbers, which was simlutaneously renamed Secret Agent Corrigan much to Al's displeasure. They did a near 13 year run on that, and then the AW/AG team took over the Star Wars daily strip from Russ Manning in 1979..........

That is a great looking daily!  Love all the behind the scenes info on who actually penciled and inked it.  So much craft on display, and I'm fascinated by the montage sequence at the end and all the compositional choices.  The lines are crisp everywhere and the blacks are spotted perfectly
