Description

Not signed, but from the estate of Frank Thorne. I've loved the idea of bull leaping since reading Mary Renault's books The King Must Die and The Bull from the Sea, both of which were about the hero Theseus. The bull leapers were conscripts, but if one lived long enough, he/she was granted freedom.
7x10 on board, may have been a book illustration.

Very cool as Throne probably studied a lot of these cultures to put and traditions into his comic work.
