DescriptionStar Wars stories can come in many flavors and it’s okay to have some lighter and some more serious. Andor is serious. I was quite impressed with Mon Mothma’s story, though not the central storyline of the show. A senator from a democratic era trying to hold on to her regal life and work the system to channel funds to a fledgling rebellion, wondering how long before she has to flee and commit fully to the rebellion. The walls are closing in and though we saw her flight from Coruscant in “Rebels,” the experience of the Empire getting ever closer to catching her on Coruscant has been a treat to watch even if we know the conclusion.Commission 2025. Who knew this side character in ROTJ would turn out to be so fascinating in her backstory as the mother of the rebellion? A total homage to Princess Leia evading the Empire aboard the Tantive IV.
