Description

I've always loved this character, but maybe more as a concept than how he's portrayed in the stories. Undoubtedly, the Silver Surfer is an icon that can be imbued with more emotional nuance than most.

I finally sat down and finished this drawing that's been sitting on my drafting table for months. I used Koh-I-Noor ink, which I wish I hadn't in hindsight, as it doesn't retain the deep black shade of a few other archival ink brands, but that's life!

The art board is 11 x 17, drawn to the edge.
