DescriptionUncanny Xmen 210 was the first comic I purchased myself from the 7-11 spinner rack as a kid. I remember that issue as a vicious group were hunting and slaughtering the Morlocks. This was the beginning of the Mutant Massacre story arc where Mr. Sinister's marauders went HAM on the Xmen, Xfactor, Thor, and the Morlocks. This DPS from Wolverine Deep Cuts #2 is a nice recap of that battle highlighting when Nightcrawler was wounded by Riptide and Colossus losing his cool and snapping his neck, and when Kitty Pryde was hit with a projectile from Harpoon causing her inability to phase back. Happy to add another example of one of my favorite Xmen villian groups. Social/Sharing |

Edgar Salazar does a fantastic job capturing the chaos and brutality of the Mutant Massacre, one of the most pivotal and memorable X-Men storylines. The composition is packed with action, showcasing some of the story arc’s most intense moments. Nightcrawler being taken down by Riptide, Colossus finally snapping and killing his opponent, and Kitty’s fateful injury from Harpoon. Each panel is a stark reminder of just how high it felt the stakes were during this battle, with the Marauders proving themselves as some of the deadliest foes the X-Men had ever faced. The Mutant Massacre didn’t pull any punches and this DPS is a fantastic way to relive some great mutant memories!

Thanks Ruben. 6/7 year old me probably shouldn't have been reading this arc that early on. I just remember when the colorful morlock Tommy and her hellfire club bf got waxed and you just saw a silhouette of the team at the end of uxm 210 and my jaw dropped

They went bold with the recap using a DPS. It's like Salazar wanted to make it as impactful as possible to emphasize the villainy.

Beautiful DPS and it's bonus that it recaptures your childhood especially your first comic book purchase. Congrats!
