FREE FORCE Pin-Up

Here is a SPLASHY pin-up of The FREE FORCE (Super-powered members of the New Atlantis security force, consisting of Havoc, Night Owl and Controller.) from JUSTICE MACHINE #3 published by NOBLE COMICS in 1982. This pin-up was used to promote the introduction of the superhero group FREE FORCE in Justice Machine #4.

The artwork was penciled by BILL REINHOLD and inked by MIKE GUSTOVICH. It's drawn on 2 ply bristol board in india ink with brush and pen on 13 1/4" X 17" paper.

Reinhold designs and Gustovich inks at this time period are some of the most fine found in the 80's indie scene. With the nicer paper stock and more mature themes, they were ahead of the times.

Well composed and drawn, but what really jumps out is the fantastic inks...soooo clean and sharp.

Glad you have this, as I know how much we both love The Elementals / Justice Machine time period and artwork. Those comics were so colorful and bright, and the pencils/inks so crisp and dynamic. Congrats on this great addition to your collection!
