DescriptionWith the addition of this page 5 to my existing page 6 (also in this gallery) I now have the full sequence of Quicksilver's fight with the other Avengers as he is trying to secure their help to save his sister, Scarlet Witch. This page is also the scene from the cover image so I am very excited to join these two pages together.Social/Sharing |

Buscema and Palmer were an incredible team, and this page from is a perfect example of their storytelling mastery. Buscema’s dynamic figure work and sense of motion bring Quicksilver’s speed and urgency to life, while Palmer’s rich inks add weight and drama to every panel. The fact that this page not only pairs with your existing page 6 but also represents the cover scene makes it an even more exciting acquisition. Kudos, pal!

They wasted no time reaching this battle! Power move after power move that makde you think about what happened in between panels. The Marvel way of fast and impact action carried out by two of the best pen and ink hurlers in the Marvel Bullpen!

A fantastic and very exciting Avengers page!
Love that last panel! I made a guess as to the end of Cap's proclamation:
"…he took on ALL of us!"
I was sooooo close.
"…he took on ALL of them!"

Stunning Avengers page by the incredible team of John Buscema and Tom Palmer. John really picks up the pace in this page where Goliath is suddenly chilled by an unseen force which Cap recognizes as Pietro, i.e. Quicksilver. Goliath instantly grows to enormous size but is unable to stop Pietro who whips past the big guy to take out Black Panther. Just when all seems to be lost, Cap rears back to fling his shield and put a quick end to the fight. Gorgeous inkwork by Palmer really makes the action look believable. Buscema is great but Buscema and Palmer is unbeatable. Great pick-up, congrats!
