DescriptionThis mini series might be my favorite Hunter Rose story and one of my favorite Batman stories as well. This is also my favorite era of Matt Wagner art so was pleased to pick this up from Jim. The faces on Rachel and Hillie after revealing their past traumas was really done masterfully by Matt and then Rachel having to go back and deal with the Museum situation for Grendel. Also, couldn't resist a page with Commissioner Gordan!Social/Sharing |

great page from this memorable 90s one shot from the brilliant mind and artistic talents of Matt Wagner. Great era of his work for sure, especially his inking style and contrast between close up panels and detailed background panels with wider shots. nice to have Jim Gordon in there too. cool pickup!

I like the choice of the torn captions too. They give us half of what is obvious, but is there to reinforce and underscore what's happening.
