Description

Thrilled to add yet another of Clayburn Moore’s bronze sculptures to the collection! This is his bronze statue of Ripclaw, the character created by Marc Silvestri and published by Image Comics. First sculpted in 1994 and issued as a cold-cast porcelain statue in an edition of 2500, the bronze edition was originally created in 2004 but not cast until 2007. This is the original Foundry Proof copy, which I purchased from the original foundry for most of Moore’s work, Pyrology Foundry & Studio (formerly Deep in the Heart Art Foundry). The bronze edition was set at 12, though I’m unsure how many were actually created. The piece is signed by Silvestri in marker on the walnut base.

Very rare making this hard to judge the market and edition size with collectors' reluctance to part with them.
