Description
Approximate image area is 5 x 5 on an official Dark Horse Comics art board that was cut (unfortunately) to 7 x 7 by a previous owner. The complete numbered page is shown in the Artist Edition. A spot illustration/ teaser panel page of Death. “Next issue, Death Riding an Elephant.” The published page is also shown here. It didn’t really sink in until sometime after purchasing this that I had an actual page from Hellboy in Hell. At the time, I was looking for an affordable small inked piece by Mike that I could frame. I’m not sure I would ever cut up an art board like this, but I wasn’t hesitant at all on the opportunity to obtain this fantastic illustration.

A great decorative piece by Mignola that is found on tombs and grave houses to warn of evils spirits that will haunt grave robbers.  This type of aesthetic would work well for those who want to ward off evil doers in the home.

Ha! Yes, I think it has been quite effective in warding a certain someone from the home. The wife is please. 😆

Completely agree with your sentiment. The cutting and subsequent framing of the piece does mimic the look of the published page so that's neat.

House guests might walk past the art and not even notice it's from a comic book.. Such a striking graphic piece.

Congratulations
