Was he really the creator of Spider-Man's Black costume? Did the agent make that sign? Another rare picture as he hasn't left his time zone for a while now.
Well, Marcus, thankfully some of us know that the black costume originated in 1982 from an idea submitted by a 22-year-old fan named Randy Schueller, after Marvel publicly elicited new ideas from readers. Jim Shooter even bought the idea from Schueller for a small, token sum (around $200 or so), to make sure no lawsuit could ever be launched against the company if the black suit became popular. I've loved Zeck's work from the time I became a comic book reader in 1982 and will always remain a huge fan. But of all the numerous successes he had throughout his career that he could've used for self-promotion at cons, he chose one which isn't even true. Shame on him for that. Even if it it was someone else who designed and printed it, he should've rejected it and had another one made without that lie on it.
Hey, where's the long hippy hair?!
It's on the display rack on the right.
You forgot your wig!
