Flash Annual Vol 4 #1 Cover

Over course if you choose Heatwave, I immediately think of the classic Flash rogue! Here (bottom left) on the cover with the New 52 version of the Rogues!

8-2020...My SECOND ever auction win! And my first ever cover! Francis Manapul is perhaps my favorite comic book artist and this is very likely my favorite piece in my collection. I love how he revitalized the Flash (my favorite superhero) and think his art is spectacular! Great composition and use of tones and shading really make the piece pop! Here we have the Flash teaming up with Captain Cold against the Rogues (to protect Central City from property damage) who have double crossed their team leader, opting out to follow his sister Golden Glider instead; not surprisingly Leonard Snart shortly turns the table on the Scarlet Speedster. Reminiscent of the Spirit covers with "vs the Rogues" drawn out of the ice! I've opted out to hang the piece without printing the "The Flash" title logo because it looks great even without it. Impressive piece with the Flash and the Rogues in their superpower-charged New 52 incarnation Captain Cold, Heat Wave, Weather Wizard, Mirror Master, Golden Glider, and Turbine (not really a Rogue but got caught into the mix when exiting the Speed Force...intrigued? You must read the Flash New 52!)
