Description

Wally Wood. Worlds of Tomorrow - August-1963. Illustration Original Art (Galaxy Publishing, 1963). This image accompanied the J. T. McIntosh story "To the Stars". It gave Wally Wood room to show what he can do with helicopter designs and a modern setting. Wonderful detail and crosshatching created in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 8.5" x 12.5".

Fun piece with the imaginative futurism concepts of Wood done during a time when technology was opening up to the possibilities of what science brought in the 60's. It's from a different timeline, but certainly better than the current one.
