DescriptionI've had this page for years, since 2020, and about time I posted it. Subby is one of my favorite characters, and Don Heck one of my favorite artists. Just a great page from when Subby was in his "disco" outfit! But even without Subby on the page, we have the sorcerer supreme, Dr. Strange makes an appearance in the last panel of this page from "On the Brink of Madness!""Child, you are wise beyond your years... and, at times, I think--beyond mine." —Sub-Mariner (Namor McKenzie) Synopsis for "On the Brink of Madness!" Namor returns to his underworld realm to find it devastated in the wake of the nerve gas contamination. Fortunately, his subjects are just in a comatose state and amphibian scientists are eager to help them. Namor takes the scientists to Dr. Hydro's island base and then seeks out Dr. Walthers who has been working on a force field device that can protect Atlantis from any other nerve gas contamination. However, the costumed villain Force stands in his way. Namor drives him off and continues his search for Dr. Walthers. Social/Sharing |

That wizard onsie with stars and crescent moons is pretty cool running throughout the page amongst all the other magical items building up toward Doctor Strange's appearance!

awesome page by Heck and Mooney, and to have that entrance of Dr. Strange in the last panel is the chef's kiss!

Nick, you've driven me crazy looking for Subby in his "disco" outfit! Where is he? I see Dr. Strange, but not Subby!

Nice Heck art. The angle and composition for the central panel is great, with nods to Ditko perhaps with the background. The closing panel with Strange is a real page turner, and crossovers between the Sorceror Supreme and Namor were always compelling. Nice page!
