This gently eases you to take the plunge into Bastain's tale of folklore and fantasy with whimsical illustrations. Made even more so by the whispering tone from those small word balloons. You are struck immediately by the bizarre yet engaging character designs.
Bastian's intricate illustration style is really awesome to appreciate from his marquee series epsecially, cool opening page from this title in that universe!
