Description

The final page to Fantastic Four #42. Talk about a cliffhanger! The Human Torch is in hot pursuit of his teammates, having been turned against them by the Wizard of the Frightful Four.

This was one of the very first Fantastic Four comics I ever bought and, despite Vince Colletta's ink, it remains one of my all time favorites.

I had the great honor of meeting Jack and Roz at the 1989 San Diego Comic Con and made many trips to their home, thanks to Mike Thibodeaux. It was on one of those trips, around 1991, that I purchased this page.

Very unique seeing the Colletta inks over Kirby in FF. The thin lines made this look highly detailed compared to Kirby's other FF inkers.

It was amazing. Meeting and going to the Kirbys house was actually more fun sometimes than buying the artwork. Congrats Bret! they sure were good times. And also thanks to Mike too!
