Description
Historic very 1st full appearance of Grips...pencilled and inked back in 1986 by Tim Vigil.
Blasting onto the scene in pages 2 & 3 DPS.

Preview pages of Grips were drawn by Ron Lim in the Silver Wolf Bulletin #2.
Grips #1 is his first full appearance in story canon.

I remember being awestruck by the ultra-violence of this ground breaking comic.
Grips was everything we secretly wanted Wolverine to be like...not holding back on using his claws to take out the villains.

....and the horror for evil is Grips....

I was very fortunate to get Tim to sign these pages at the most recent Emerald City Comic Con.
It was a pleasure to meet Tim and hear the back story about Grips.

2nd attached pic is Tim signing these pages.

what a cool DPS find. Grips and Faust were so ahead of their time, Vigil is an indie comics legend for sure. Awesome that you got to meet him at ECCC and have him sign it, would love to have seen what he brought to the show (I spy a Faust Cover portfolio on the table in your pic!?). congrats Jordan!

Love the raw violence against the backdrop of oppulence!  Outlaw and bloody for the time period, Vigil was ahead of the times and pushed the enevelope to show there was a taste for this in comics.
