Description
This 1985 Annual contained 4 chapters of “The Four Faces of Batman.” The whole story was written by Mike W. Barr, but each chapter was illustrated by a different creative team. This page is from chapter 3, “Third Face: The Detective– Death By Double Fault!" which was illustrated by Dan Jurgens and Dick Giordano.

Bruce Wayne sure knows how to get clubbed over the head! Luckily, Batman is arriving in the last panel to solve the case!

The Shadow Of The Bat appears! Literally! In the last panel! From The Child, to the Avenger, to The Detective, to The Man this annual had a solid structure to it and the variability of art team from story to story also kept it interesting

WHUD happened?  I guess we'll find out what clues were uncovered after Batman nabs the perp!

The last panel is brutal. Batman is not in it, but his presence is scary.

Batman is in that last panel. Batman is the shadow and the shadow is Batman!
