I still voted for your Zeck/Zimelman Punisher as best pin-up bro!
Thanks brother! I totally agree, but I couldn't find another applicable category to put it in. It's definitely not a cover, DPS, con sketch... it's just "other"
Smoking is cool kids! Great strip Michael!
Great moody piece Patrick. It was fun watching you win this one at the auction. Congrats!
Great page from start to finish! I love the flow of the cape and especially the shadow in the second panel!
Beautiful piece. Quite the series of spooky scenes going on
I still love this one. Let me know when you're ready to send it my way!
Mullet Superman was something to behold.
I love this page from start to finish. This one is a real stroll down memory lane retelling such a significant event from Superman's storyline. That top panel especially is killer!
No matter what size this is, the amount of details Bastian can load into a piece of art is impressive! Beautiful depth and textures in a great composition.
No Batman on this page so I was quick to make a judgment and only give you 1/2 credit for the World's Finest. However, Rude's Superman is sublime and makes this an awesome page just as it is. Love this one.
Great composition with the focus in the center. I love the colors in the published version too which showcase different layers of the scene. The glowing lantern really pops on the published cover to highlight the gaslight era.
I tried to give you a classic double bird with emojis, but the new CAF site doesn't like my emojis anymore
??
Bro this cover looks like it takes place either one minute before or one minute after the Punisher commission you did for me! Same costume, same setting, same vantage point. Pretty crazy.
Awesome cover Nick! Great homage (and probably a bit cheaper than 1.8M too). Congrats!
Great piece Mike! I nearly snagged this one myself. Glad it went to a home where it's appreciated. Congrats on a killer image!
Awesome! I was eyeing this one. Congrats!
Thanks Eric! I like this cover quite a bit due to the collision of universes. I'm always a fan of a good Sin City tribute. I can't say I share your enthusiasm about seeing a live action Lobo in the DCU though. I think I'll stick to the comic version.
I think of Lobo as more of a Marv than a Miho, but I respect your opinion. ;)
Incredible! I also find it interesting that Art did this art on a duoshade board. Must be a story there. I love the composition and even the upside down sig and date on the pipe. Congrats on a beautiful piece!
Forget about the mechanical part... take a look at those guns, pouches, ammo, knives, collars, jacket flaps, knee pads, thigh guards, headgear, boots, gauntlets... not to mention the skeletons and everything else going on. Great cover image!
Hey now! Let's try to keep the comments somewhat family friendly!
Originally a member of Rob Liefeld's Youngblood (X-Force rip-off), Chapel was basically the Extreme Studios equivalent of Cable. He also had his own short-lived series in the '90s.
If those Marvel comparisons don't work enough for you, just think of Chapel as a Captain America villain from the Image universe. Perhaps a combination of Red Skull and Cable, but with a dark Image twist.
Beautiful color guide. I have also been seeing these pieces in my eBay searches for a while, but never pulled the trigger on one. You got a lovely example!
A lot to admire here. We can all see why you like this one
Another incredible Wrightson! I love everything about this
Another Star Wars figure I'm not very familiar with. Is Neel from the Babar family?
R2-D2 is still my favorite trash can design. No contest there. Spencer is also pretty great and has a good sense of design so there is plenty to love about this piece. I'm glad to see these sketch cards made their way on a road trip across multiple state lines and found their way back to the Wedding estate deep within the resistance.
Beautiful art! Also, I'm glad I never double-crossed your mom!
Another beautiful page filled with inky goodness! I'm glad you got this one!
