Description

Great Dr. Doom page from "The Final Victory of Doctor Doom!" from the second story in Fantastic Four Annual #2. Pencils by Jack Kirby and inks by Chic Stone.

This page has it all - the entire FF team, the Thing and Doom squaring off, even Jack Kirby's cigar stains on the right edge of the page (or so I was told). There are even tell-tale signs of Kirby's erased margin notes at the top of the page.

The second Kirby page I ever bought. I liked this because on one page you have the entire cast plus their major villain. I got this from Mike Thibodeaux, who was selling it for the Kirbys at San Diego Comic Con 1989. Thanks, Mike!

There's some really great Kirby/Stone art in this Annual. I remember this page when I was a kid. To me one of top Thing vs Doom brief tussles. And Panel 5 always stuck with me. I always loved the love/hate dialogue between Ben and Victor. Comical and suspenseful at the same time. Congrats!
