Wedding gift!In honor of the George Lucas appearance at the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art SDCC 2025 panel, Jeff gifted me an illustration with plenty of Star Wars narrative. This R2 astromech unit got lost on Tattooine because his maps weren't updated after the Empire's new edict to rename the Gulf of Jawa to Gulf of America. Deported there, he befriends Jawas and find out they are being terrorized by a fierce gang of masked agents of the empire who are led by Darth Tanaka. The Fillbachs in association with their amigos, Jeff Wedding, Kathleen Kennedy, Dave Filoni, Jon Favreau, Tony Gilroy, and the Jawas, present to us a masterpiece for our time: R2-Gringo. Under the twin suns of Tattooine, can ICE melt? Will R2-Gringo find the fabled list of names that will bring down the empire? Utini! Coming this fall to Disney Plus! Watch out Empire because R2-Gringo is about to start a revolution that even the rebellion can't match! Awesome and fun piece! Those vertical lines and blue color accents on R2 really pop, as does the twin suns. And it's hard to beat that top hat bringing R2-Gringo awareness to all the fashionistas throughout the galaxy! If you didn't already have so many impressive quotes from the planet-CAF in the outer rim I'm sure they would be flooding in through the holonet any moment now! And what nice shots of so many comic art friendos in the extra images, truly touching stuff! Jeff is the man, Fillback are the brothers, and Marcus is the way. This is the Wai!

Not sure how I feel about the crew in the extra photos, your CAF description needs more thought and insight, but the art is awesome! Congrats on charming your way into another piece of free art just for being you. This is the Wai.
