Escape Of The Living Dead #3 Variant Cover

A young woman faces down a horde of the undead on this "Terror" variant cover for the third installment of the five-issue miniseries that served as an alternate, out-of-continuity sequel to the Night of the Living Dead film. (Poor horses never seem to fare well during the zombie apocalypse.) Pioneering Indian comics artist Dheeraj Verma was an icon of the industry. He worked for Raj Comics, India's lead comic publisher, from 1993 to 2004, before making a splash overseas in American comics. This piece represents some of Verma's earliest US comic work and showcases the style and vivid detail that would go on to define his art on several Transformers spinoffs, Nightmare on Elm Street, and more -- before his tragic passing in 2021.
