Description
Brother Eye: Stand by for camouflagic reconstruction.
Me: I’m still waiting…

Brother Eye transforms OMAC into some kind of super-spy befitting the urban environment of the past, certainly less conspicuous, and of course less Mohawk! And FINALLY, I think this is my first page with one of Byrne’s longest running in-jokes, his infamous license plate GNU 556 can be seen in the first panel!

John Byrne’s OMAC prestige format miniseries is one of my all-time favorites! I love the new designs for OMAC and the future tech, the use of B&W and duoshade boards, the intricate narrative interwoven with Jack’s stories, the time-travel elements, the gritty urban and future scenery, which all culminate in a John Byrne four part OMAC extravaganza!

With a little work, Byrne’s OMAC mini could be the basis for an insanely compelling DC summer blockbuster movie or even a streaming series. Personally, I’d cast a younger & bigger Kyle Chandler—he’s got that classic slightly rougher face. You might remember him as 11’s dad in some of the semi-recent Godzilla movies, and it turns out DC just cast him as the new Hal Jordan. Another choice, having just seen images of Liam Hemsworth as the new Witcher, he looks like he’s got the size and could be aging in. I’m pretty limited on today’s actors, love to hear any and all suggestions.

I totally forgot John did this series.  I am going to have to get it.  This is terrific, I would SO love to be able to call on camouflagic reconstruction!

You have some very nice OMAC pages. Congrats. Now what does the GNU 556 plate reference as I have never noticed that (in spite of being a John Byrne fan)?

A cool, reverse-transformation page! Very nice work. I've always been a huge fan of duo-shade board usage, as it creates really nice special effects and looks good both in print and on the original boards!
