Phantom 2040 #2 Cover

I had previously uploaded my cover to Phantom 2040 #4, in rather poor condition. Here is the cover to #2, in good condition!

Phantom 2040 was a 4-issue mini-series published by Marvel. This issue came out in June of 1995. I did not draw the book story, only three of the four covers. Thanks to Carl Potts for the return!

I like the layout and elements here: Phantom is on his motorcycle at high speed; the bad guy shoots his bike and totals it. Phantom is just about to become airborn as his bike disintegrates into pieces around him, yet he's still focused on getting the job done and whacking the bad guy.

It's kind of an in-between moment where things are changing; a moment before, he was riding fast and chasing; here, his bike has just been exploded but he's still got a split-second to fire another shot; right after this moment, you know his bike will no longer support him and he'll be airborn amidst the tumbling wreckage. Kind of a still-life moment right between a lot of action... even though there's action within this moment... if that all makes sense. Excuse me, maybe it is time for some coffee.
