Valentina Von Frankenstein and Edgar Allan Poe by Lou Russo

NEVERMORE!  Since I was young, I have been fascinated with all things related to Edgar Allan Poe...movies, books, songs...you name it!  He is one of my favorite writers and October is his month, not just because of his macabre literary works, but also because of his mysterious death on October 7, 1849.  Poe lived a sad and tragic life.  By age 40, he had lost his mother, his foster mother, and his wife.  However, throughout his life he managed to create enduring works that continue to inspire to this day. Poe is best remembered for his short stories of mystery and horror, his poetry, and for being the inventor of the modern detective story.  Personally, I always try to work him into whatever horror projects I can, but with this drawing, he gets to be the star (alongside Valentina Von Frankenstein)!
