Bugs Bunny by Shane Glines (9)

      Shane Glines is the lead character designer for the new Harley Quinn animated series on the DC Universe site. Some of Shane's artwork is displayed by this Animation Magazine preview. Shane started as a character designer under Bruce Timm on the Warner Bros. Batman: the Animated Series and some of the follow-up cartoons. He's drawn covers for DC's Gotham Girls comic book miniseries and done some inks for the Harley & Ivy miniseries. Shane has strong interest in vintage illustration, animation, comics and cartoons. I first met Shane when he released his first sketchbook at my brother's Stuart Ng Books booth at the San Diego Comic Con in 2001. Shane's books include S Curves: The Art of Shane Glines, Sparrow number 4, Cartoon Retro: the Art of Shane Glines, Shane Glines' Cartoon Retro Sketchbook: The Daily Spiral Book 2, and The Lily and Flinch Sketchbook Volume 1. Stuart published S Curves: The Art of Shane Glines Volume 2 in 2015 and S Curves: The Art of Shane Glines Volume 3 in 2018. We saw The Art of Shane Glines in Color Volume 1 in 2024. It started as an Amazon exclusive until Shane opened his own online store. Shane reports WB asked several designers to try their hand at Bugs Bunny. This was not his strength, but he had fun with it. I love the Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies so I didn’t hesitate to snap up this lot.
