Rhino - Todd Nauck

I first encountered Todd's art with Guarding the Globe. He had a clear yet dynamic style that lent itself to bright colors. Even when there were action-packed scenes with multiple heroes, everyone stood out. It seemed energetic and adventurous, detailed yet still cartoony. He really seems like a superhero artist.

I was lucky to get on his list the night before the first day of NYCC. Rhino has a fairly muted palate, so I like how he used the orange to make him pop. I tend to think of Todd's art as having a "softness" to it, so his bumps and facial texture here stood out for a rough Rhino.
