Goblin Queen by Bruce Timm

Bruce Timm, in addition to being the acclaimed co-creator of Batman: The Animated Series and its breakout sensation, Harley Quinn, has also become a modern master of "Good Girl" pin-up art. This art features one of the most popular female X-Men villain the Goblin Queen, also known as Cyclop's ex-wife Madelyne Pryor. The piece is mixed media, colored pencils, and colored markers. It's a fine example of why Timm is considered to be a pin-up master.

The Goblin Queen is Madelyne Pryor, originally a supporting character in Uncanny X-Men co-created by writer Chris Claremont and artist Paul Smith. Madelyne Pryor was introduced in Uncanny X-Men #168 (1983) as a love interest for Cyclops following the death a couple of years earlier of his beloved Jean Grey. Madelyne looked almost exactly like Jean, which was a concern to his teammates. Scott soon married Madelyne and she gave birth to their son Nathan, who ended up growing up in a distant future where he became Cable. When Jean turned up alive in 1986, Scott abandoned Madelyne and their son in order to be with Jean on their new team, X-Factor. During the "Inferno" crossover event, it was revealed that Madelyne was a clone of Jean created by Mister Sinister. Being abandoned drove Madelyne insane and she transformed into the evil Goblin Queen.
