Description

Iron Man 119 was released on November 21, 1978 and was Bob Layton�s first pencilling work on Iron Man, although he had inked and co-plotted a couple of the issues before that. His Portrayal of Iron Man is definitive and captured my imagination in so many of those early issues in particular 125, 128, 132 and 137 all of which I picked up off of the newsstand. I was so excited that Bob drew me this wonderful half-body sketch at a convention in Toronto and he was really fun and talkative while he did it. Thanks so much Bob.

Clean Iron Man drawing by Layton! Always precise like a machinist to build Iron Man's armor. He even added a litle bit of the sparkle of his polished surface.
