Description

I know Nick Lowe's tenure as Editor on the Spidey titles is not without its controversy. I also know that I am also not the biggest fan of significant chunks of that era.

However, having met the man and spoken to him in person now; Nick is great and incredibly nice, and I respect his point of view. Specifically about Ben Reilly, as that is who I wanted to talk to him about. And we did!

Nick was gracious with his time and he said that people often think he does not enjoy Ben. But he actually loves him as a character, as well as his versatility - and how you can do storylines with Ben that you never could with Peter. Some more stuff, but it would take too long to write down and I also don't really want a full "briefing" of a private conversation here.

Fun anecdote: before me in line were a few cosplaying kids, waiting to meet him. Nick was AMAZING in handling them. Honestly. He gave them all free prints, talked to them, complimented their cosplays. It was heartwarming to see and those kids truly enjoyed that moment.
