I wasn't reading many books when Tom Strong came out, but I made exceptions for Alan Moore's stuff, and was quite pleased with those early Tom Strong stories. #2 is one of my favorites, with Tom winning the day by sending the villain off to rule Venus.

The cover is somewhat unusual in that it is pencils only. Rather than go the traditional inking route, Sprouse chose to scan the pencils and finish the art digitally. See the additional pic for a comparison to the published image.

Thanks to JHM for selling it to me after holding onto it for so long!

I thought there was no art to this cover too. I guess it's the way Moore or Sprouse wanted the final cover to look like as a magazine cover of the 50's.
