This masterfully detailed piece features an adventurous subject with a shipwreck in the background. The original composition was first penciled and inked by Daan Jippes for the American edition of Uncle Scrooge Adventures (January 17, 1989). Later, the subject was adapted for the Dutch Donald Duck magazine—again penciled by Jippes but with inks by Michel Nadorp—adding new details such as small fish swimming at the top of the composition.
This original cover has been published internationally in several editions:
