Description

"Son of the Hunter!" Part 1 of 3. Script by J.M. DeMatteis. Pencils by Luke Ross. Inks by Al Milgrom. Cover by Luke Ross. The Daily Bugle, now co-owned by Norman Osborn and J. Jonah Jameson, launches a new round of attacks on the web-slinger after video emerges of Spider-Man's fight with Norman last issue! And it doesn't take long for public opinion to turn against the spectacular one! The new Kraven notices the bad publicity and decides to fill the superhero role for a little while before launching his own assault on Spider-Man! Oh no, is Kraven planning to take the wall-crawler's "place" again...like his predecessor did a few years ago?

Didn't Spidey face this same dilemma with Wolverine?  "He won't stop smiling!"

Poor Spidey.  Great page, though.

Comic out of the clone saga era, Luke Ross' art was the new look out of the group and provided some great crisp action!  Strong battle page with Spidey outclassing the new Kraven.  We finally get a follow up to the classic storyline!
