Shawn Crystal Absolute Batman #10 Cover

Shawn Crystal has created a growing body of amazing painted covers and commissions over the last several years. It's been great to see his unique cartooning blended with surprising color palates - creating striking and unexpected visuals. I saw this cover in person at NYCC and was blown away, but I didn't pull the trigger because of already being overbudget on original art for the year. After weeks of debating, I finally decided I couldn't close out the year without this in my collection. It's a great variant cover for one of 2025's hottest comics.

One difficulty with Shawn's amazing paintings, is the scans never do them justice. The colors, for some reason, just don't pop the way they do in person. I tried adjusting some of the levels and got it closer but just couldn't get the magenta to stand out like it does in person. Thanks to Shawn and Jason at Essential Sequential for making this happen.
