DescriptionI submitted The Sorcerer's Apprentice as my character request for the Fall 205 CAF Comic Art Live Mystery Sketch event random artist commission and it was done by Nir Levie. I reached out to Tatiana for what inspired Nir to take this creative approach. Nir responded:"I drew Mickey as a real mouse to emphasize the core idea of the scene - a tiny creature facing forces much bigger than himself. Reinterpreting cartoon characters in a more realistic, gritty way has become part of my style. It grounds the moment, adds vulnerability, and creates an ironic distance that lets the scene read both emotionally and conceptually differently" Social/Sharing |
