Description
So this is actually my first Byrne FF page. Last week was my first Byrne FF posting.
Byrne FF is my all-time favorite Marvel run. I've been looking for a page basically since I've been collecting OA. The best ones, many of the good ones, and even the mid level ones are out of my price range. Glad I was able to save up a bit for this one.

So this is the story where Dr. Doom (Kristoff) "kidnaps" the Baxter Building to space. Pretty memorable cover image for this issue. It leads to the Malice storyline, which I think is the last great Byrne FF story.

In this page you see the Baxter Building being transported into space.
The real star of the page is the pinup-worthy Human Torch Panel, "Flame On!" and all. Torch was my favorite character as a kid and this is a prime Byrne example, imitated by many that followed after him. The Panel really pops in person.

The building is a stat in panels 2 and 3. I don't mind too much because I do get the original in panel 1. It's also an interested meta take on the comic book grid - or maybe I'm reading too much into it :)
The security guard is a stat in panel 3, but again the original is on the page. The cityscape is also a stat, clear Byrne style, maybe from #242.
All that made it drop into my budget. Very pleased to have this one!

Great page and issue, I took a break from comics for a few years during this time and this is the issue that brought me back.

I like it as the Ordway inks give it a classic look out of the golden age!  Especially when you see that solid black background for Torch to flame on against.
