Description

Rob Liefeld in his podcast (Robservations) called out how Marvel would test out ideas in What If and later pull them into the mainstream continuity. I guess this is another example of that where they paired Wolverine and Conan in 1990 and then pulled it into the Savage Avengers 29 years later?

Kwapisz was a regular on the Conan title. He did make the Conan stories more superheroic with a claen style, so it was a natural fit to have him do a savage battle crossover with Wolvie!

Marvel Team Up and What If? Were the books I would only buy when the covers caught my attention and this one would make a reader pick it up. Nice way to start the year.

Oustanding What If? cover brining together the mutant universe and the Hyborean Age! A fantastic Wolvierine and Conan battle scene is hard to beat, congrats Steve!
