Description

B8 - Sean Chen did this simple yet menacing shot of Victor Von Doom, one of the Silver Surfer’s earliest enemies, at a convention in Toronto in 2005. In fact, it was the Dr. Doom splash page in Fantastic Four #57 where he steals the Surfer’s powers that got me hooked on Jack Kirby’s version of the Surfer.

Chen's still at it and better than ever. I think this era of his work is when he was getting into both writing and artwork as a complete storyteller.
