UK Star Wars Weekly #2 Original Art Recreation

This recreation features the classic UK Star Wars Weekly cover by Dave Cockrum and Frank Giacoia from early 1978. pen, brush, ink and gouache on aged 11” x 16” bristol board with aged title stats (trade dressing).

Created by hand with methods as close as possible to how the original was made including using vintage supplies and tools whenever available. aged board and reproduction stats with rubber cement staining, white out/graphic white and production marks.

Five levels of anti-fraud measures are incorporated into the work as well to deter it from being used in any sort of nefarious way.
