The Avengers Annual #1 (Marvel, 1967)

This "King-Size Special" was the first of The Avengers annuals to be released. The story takes place between The Avengers #44 and #45. The cover image features the then-current team of Captain America, Hawkeye, Goliath, the Wasp, the Scarlet Witch, and Quicksilver. Also present are temporary Avengers Mansion resident Hercules, along with founding members Iron Man and Thor. Talk about "Avengers Assembled"!
The pencils for this wall-busting cover have been credited by some to John Buscema. There are several whiteout art corrections that are most likely by John Romita Sr. and/or Marie Severin. The inks have also been attributed to Mike Esposito by some.
