Description
Here we have an interesting item. First off, I didn’t expect to buy another Maikowsky recreation but this has Goliath on it and we all know Goliath (Clint Barton) is my favorite character. And I got it for $25!! A no brainer. I have a question and maybe one of you viewing this will have the answer. Was this a direct recreation? Was this printed in an Avenger comic or did Maikowsky dream this up these poses using John Buscema style as a reference? If you know please share. Regardless I got a nice Goliath pin up even with all those Hawkeyes on it. Hawkeye is not my favorite character. A fun add to my collection. Enjoy! Signed.

What a deal!  You can probably ask Kirk Dilbeck who is on caf and sells art for Maikowsky.

Maikowsky's work has always looked like John Buscema with a little George Tuska thrown in to me.  His characters have weight.  The key to his layouts is visual impact, not necessarily an homage to strict anatomy.  I would posit that was Kirby's 60s key to his layouts too.  Congratulations on owning this stunner !
