Description
I saw this piece on a post in Instagram and knew I had to have it! I really love Dave's work. Not a card art guy other than the 60's Donruss Marvel cards and 60's Batman cards and Mars Attacks and don't know shit about Magic or Marvel Masterpieces but here I was looking at this beautiful piece. My son's favorite character too beside Nami in One Piece. Wanted the auction piece but knew it would go high and just too big for me. That's what she said.
I had a VIP badge but pestered someone for an exhibitor badge to get in extra fast as Dave was right around the corner from the show entrance. Got it! It's like I was John Higashi!
Anyway here she is and I love it. Going to my son's pad though so that's that.
Dave is super nice and chill his mom is not a bad artist either. Thanks Dave!

Yeah, his mom is pretty good too ;) ...that tiger painting was mighty tempting.

Bummer that our paths didn't cross at the show.

Awesome pickup for your son!

Baller! DP's got painting engrained in his DNA and the Marvel trading card scene is all the more better for it. Incredible pickup, mr exhibitor! congrats.

You should have just handed him the money and the red dot at the same time!

Channeling one's inner Higashi is the best tactic in all con strategies!

Dave's really got a flair for this character! Glad you snagged it - I was astounded by the number of red dots amongst his display at 4:01 pm.

I need two side hustles to match all you folks picking up pieces from these monumental artists. I noticed there were an insane number of red dots. I couldn't even get a Cyclops.

An absolutely beautiful painting. I love the lightness of the background, which accentuates the colors of the figure. It's how you want to see Spider-Gwen, come to save you in the middle of the day.
